Systemic Therapy, also known as Family Therapy, is a therapeutic approach that focuses on how our personal relationships, behaviour patterns and family dynamics are interconnected with the issues we face in life. This means, that Systemic Therapy takes a broader perspective by observing the individual within his social and relational interactions. It recognizes that there is a circular causality in processes and not linear. The concept of Systemic Therapy has its origins in Systems theory, where all parts of a system affect one another in order to bring homeostasis. Systemic Therapy involves working with individuals, couples and families in a safe and non-judgmental environment.
